I had same problem. Visited multiple websites and "chatted" with B&S
technician. I realized that starting with the most simple area first and work
down list:
- Vapor Lock - loosen gas cap and see if it runs without issues. If that
fixes it buy a new gas cap
- Old Gas - drain tank and replace with fresh gas
- Fuel System - replace filter, replace fuel lines, replace spark plug. All
for under $10
- Electrical - Buy $6 spark plug tester. After it dies, use tester. If no
spark, replace ignition coil. Maybe $40
- If still wont start, replace carburetor. Easier in the long run that
trying to clean a gummed up one. (most expensive)
