There is one thing about the design that has bothered me for a while. Should
the tops of the base cabinets be thicker? Somehow that 3/4" panel just seems
a little wimpy.



I like what you have done. I also prefer a slightly thicker top, maybe a 5/4 rather than 4/4 with a very simple edge detail.
