We've been doing it much longer than that. 80 years. You can only use so
much sewerage sludge and its now opposed for good reasons, industrial
contamination, the increase in medical drugs which can remain stable
after composting and so on.

It's the 'and so on' that's the problem. There really isn't any with
'industrial contamination' whatever you mean by that imprecision, or
with medical drugs. It's with disease pathogens, parasitic worm eggs
etc that rely on being transmitted somehow to another human to continue
their life cycles.

Quite right too. Anyone in their right mind would. You shouldn't
handle it, and you shouldn't use it, especially not on what you hope one
day to eat.
