Default covering over some holes in plastic/vinyl siding

Yeah, it's drying out but most is ok.

But... there are a bunch of places that
were bumped against during moving or
construction that have small holes,
say up to one half by two inches.

Suggestions as to patch material that'll
hold up another few years until we do
a full scale upgrade?

Thanks

I think Lowes and/or Home Depot sell odd pieces of vinyl siding.
Some sort of clear tape maybe?
