They had the govt do all power generation and oil and gas too, and still do.

Even the UK has lots of socialism, most obviously with the NHS,
government schools and many universities, the government does
most of the roads and lots of other stuff too.

exterminated, Venezuela is *such* a people's paradise, isn't it?

Those are just examples of socialism done very badly. Plenty of other
examples of capitalism done very badly too.
