For 90% of what I do, I use an HP3325B
DC to 20 MHz (40Mhz on the rear panel)
Specifically because it's a direct entry via keyboard.
It does swept output as well.
Obviously, it will hand 10.7 MHz FM IFs.
You can modulate it with an external generator.
