I've got an old pop-rivet gun which worked
perfectly well the last time I used it, maybe 1978.
Bought a selection of rivets the other day and there is no
grip. So has the pin diameter changed with metrication?
Nope, the one I built the house with in the very early 70s
still works fine with new rivets.
Or is my gun broken?
Yep.
Well the last time it was used was in Perth, WA so maybe it's an
antipodean thing.
Or I'll go for something seized/sticking.
Or splash the cash and buy a replacement.
In emergency can pliers/mole-grips work?
Pliers no. Mole grips plus nail puller I doubt, let us know.
Is it worth it given how cheap a new pop riveter can be bought for?
