We have been saying that for years. ATF ignores the crimes they are
charged with enforcing.
The other thing that happens is gun charges typically get dealt away
to get a plea on the top count of the indictment, even when the gun
charge might actually bring more time because of mandatory minimums.



I have no idea who "We" is but, OK. Glad you agree that the ATF should
be closing down gun dealers who sell guns illegally or who habitually
disregard other regulations.

It would be a small benefit to the overall gun problem in the nation
but, every little bit helps.


More importantly they should be tracking down the 100,000 felons who
applied to buy a gun and failed the federal check. They committed a
felony, but the federal govt has only prosecuted a few dozen. That
would immediately get a bunch of previous felons who tried to buy
guns off the street.
