"While the rest of the media landscape couldnt get enough of the story, Foxs highly rated lineup pretty much avoided it"

Stormy has a lawyer not revealing the source.

Get you some kook-aid feller. Looks the company is American...

Oren, you're the one drinking Kool-Aid. Yes, the company is "American".
It's the America based company owned by Vekselberg, one of the Russian
oligarchs that has looted Russia and is a good buddy of Putin that gave
Cohen $500K that went into the shell company account used to pay Stormy.
ATT, Novartis, Korean Aerospace, all made payments to Cohen too. A
whopping $4 mil in total. Hell, Novartis and ATT admit doing it,
something along the lines of they needed to know how to deal with the
Trump administration or something, but it's all OK, because it was
all ended a few months ago. ROFL. How's that $4 mil, including $500K
from RUSSIANS, fit with the "draining the swamp" BS?

I'm taking bets on who didn't put any money into that shell company to
pay Stormy. That would be TRUMP. That's why he has his whore Giuliani
out peddling the story that Trump was lying before, that he claims now
that the truth is he did indeed pay Stormy. Obviously now that the truth is coming
out, it would be better if Trump had paid her instead of Russian money.
So, that's why the story was also put out that Trump paid the "taxes"
Cohen would owe too. WTF? Taxes? There would be no taxes if it were
an NDA payment. You would though have to claim Trump paid the taxes on
it too, if you want to sell the BS story that Trump paid it on some BS
installment plan out of retainer fees over more than a year. The truth
is likely that Trump never paid a dime, but now he's trying to claim that
routine payments for legal work were actually payments on the installment
plan for Stormy. One BS lie after another. If Trump didn't pay the $130K
and it came out of that shell company loaded with Russian money did, which
is what it sure looks like, Trump is done. And the feds likely have Cohen
nailed but good now too. Enough so he will rat out all that he knows.
Stay tuned.

Alternately this was just a slush fund of people trying to buy access
to the president. Usually this goes through K street firms but Trump
is not a K street guy.
Cohen is probably guilty of not registering as a lobbyist, assuming he
hasn't.

Good thing you're not Trump's attorney. Calling it a slush fund, doesn't
sound like a good idea.

Would I be worse than Rudy?

If it was paying for Cohen to open doors or make
introductions, then I agree, AFAIK, it's not illegal. But it sure is special
coming from team Trump when Trump is running around talking about swamps
and promising to drain them. And when this erupts, all that the WH could
say, all that Huckleberry Hound could say when asked that very question,
ie what about draining the swamp, isn't this unethical, was to say that
it's up to the companies? Say what? Where is the outrage from the WH?
If this was going on and a president didn't know about it, especially one
who'd there to drain the swamp, why isn't he issuing a strong condemnation
of it?

I suppose the depends on whether they actually got the access they
paid for.

The big problem for Trump is that there isn't any evidence of a $130K
payment to Stormy coming from him. And if it turns out that this
"slush fund", as you say, was used to pay her, his goose is cooked.
It's also interesting how little Cohen did. For example, Novartis signed
a 1.2 mil dollar deal with him, had only one meeting, and according to
them they concluded he could not do what they wanted, so that was it.
But they still paid him the rest of his $1.2 mil. Where do I get work
like that? I'm sure Mueller will be all over all angles of that,
including that the CEO of Novartis had a meeting with Trump in Davos
shortly after.

I am still not what was illegal. The buck thirty is a lot to a
prostitute but not much to a lobbyist.
I imagine with Mueller looking everywhere for just the hint of
impropriety, Cohen told everyone to wait before he could do anything
for them but it does sound like the typical "pay for access" that goes
on in DC all the time.
I agree this is the same old DC sleaze but it is the swamp Trump was
supposed to drain. It is probably still legal.
