The op doesn't actually say what NAS he has but..

gives instructions for putting linux on some Seagate NAS boxes.

Then he has multiple options if it works or buying a synolgy NAS if it
doesn't.


The model of mine is SRN01C - which does not appear to be one of the
supported models.
