why I've only seen slide controls on older basic heaters.

you want to go through touch screen options for those. Thats the level

stupidity that some manufacturers have achieved.

Well yes and no. Having climate control means you dont need to adjust it -
it's just OK as is.

Thats bull**** when you wear very different clothes
because of what you need when out of the car.
