Default Are brass screws redundant?

Does everyone use Stainless these days?

I use and prefer brass. Yes it's soft so you have to drill a pilot
hole or use correct sized plug. But I have yet to have a brass screw
snap in service, rather than when tightening, like I have with
stainless. Only use stainless when I want a silver head.
