A new hospital in Glasgow, the amalgamation of 4 different ones,

opened only a couple of years ago is scheduled for a £6 million
cladding
replacement very soon.

yes the Old Suffrin' General.......been there a few times some
building!
.........
It's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital - known by some as 'Big
Betty'.

to me it is still the Southern general .....Right next to the sewage
works
........
Still good to know that Glaswegian humour lives on (Big Betty). It
amuses me anyway :-)

never heard that used...anywhere

Well, I have (by a doctor there).

must be English...the Scotts don't recognise Betty as taking over the
suffern' general ......

Most of them do actually.

I would agree. I've also heard it referred to as the Death Star.

well when the wummin phoned me last month to set up a ct scan appointment
when I asked her where I was to go she said "Southern General" ....I rest my
case....even the NHS appointments call it that .....
