Scanning negatives (boots? Jessops?)
I mourn the days when even quite cheap scanners had a slide and negative
scanner on them, with software to change the colours. I guess i don't need
that function nowadays, but others would so I'm surprised nobody just offers
it. its not rocket science, after all.
As a matter of interest though how do they know not to scan stuff in mirror
image?

I assume it's possible to scan from negatives on the machines in Boots,
Jessops, etc.
I think they expect memory sticks.
Could someone confirm this is the case?
bootsphoto.com just seems to be re-selling snapfish.co.uk printing (not
scanning) services.
Jessops do it by a service where they send you a box, you send it back
with slides/negatives etc in it, they scan and send it back, so doesn't
sound suitable for a hurry - looks like this is probably outsourced to
photolegacy.com
