So FibreOptic Santa has a 12v 20w Halogen bulb up his arse. I was
wondering if it could be replaced with an LED bulb, whether the light
would still pass effectively down fibres and give the same effect and if
so, whether a regular wall-wart would suffice or would it need to be a
special one?
The wall worts for those should be easy to identify as they will be AC,
rather than the far more common DC.
I'm pretty sure it's DC as there's a motor embedded in his bowels
somewhere through which the light shines to make his beard, cloak and
everything else shimmer and twinkle.
Not that any of that matters now because Mrs. stood it in the shop
window and the woman from "The Tavern" said she'll have it for the
paltry £20 is was priced up as to sit atop her bar with or without the
power supply.
More Christmas tat being moved on to a good home.
