What a simplistic view.
The price is set by the competition.
If we have tariffs on our exports the price will still have to be less
than the competiition so less of the price will end up in the UK and in
effect the exporters have lost the value of the tariffs.

You don't appear to have a clue how this works but claim to.


Wrong, the price is set by the customers willingness to pay.


which, with the wrong tariffs, could mean nobody will "buy British".
