in canada nobody can shoot nobody

Most states have a castle doctrine where your home is your castle and
you can use deadly force to defend it. Cops will tell you if you shoot
someone fleeing or outside the home, drag them inside before reporting it..

You forgot the part about putting the corpse on a tarp before you drag it back in the house so you don't leave a blood trail leading into your home. You then hose down the porch and driveway to wash the blood away. The tarp can be hosed off in the back yard then hung over the back deck rail to dry. Don't forget to pose the invaders dead body with a weapon of some kind in his hand. If you live out in a rural area far away from other people and you are a skilled taxidermist,........ ヽ(ヅ)ノ
