I like the straight, square edges on it. Nice, clean, flat lines.
I've always liked that and do it on many of my projects.

Too many people would be tempted to route the edges with an ogee or cove.
Those types of edge profiles just always scream "high school shop class"
to me.


Agreed, I used to decorate edges and corners but mostly now feel it is
used to draw attention away to a glaring detail.
