Hi All,

a few years ago we had a black water pipe fail and
our crawl space turned into "Lake Poopoo Caca".
So now I occasionally check under the crawl space
to see if everything is dry.

Well, this time I saw some movement. A mouse.

1) Do I care?

2) I know where he got in, just seal it up at night
when he is out foraging?

3) Do they eat Black Widows?

Your thoughts on the matter?

Many thanks,
-T

The last time I had a mouse at the house I put out a couple of mouse traps with peanut butter on the trigger. When I checked the traps, the peanut butter was gone. The little smartass rodent had licked it off the trigger without setting off the trap. I got the little ******* by putting the peanut butter on the bottom side of the trigger. I found him/her in a trap the next day and didn't see any further evidence of more mice such as droppings or chewed up bread bags. ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Great tip. Thank you!

One time at a hotel when I was on temporary duty,
the mice would run like hell behind the TV. So
I just line up a few traps in a row. They raced,
got snapped and flew about ten feet. They must have
been traveling pretty fast!

What??? Okay, yes it was funny as hell.

Me and my brother once had a office/warehouse in the downtown area in a very old building that had all kinds of holes in the walls. There were rodents big and small. The rats were so mean they carried switchblades and hissed at you when you came across them. I fiddled with the triggers on the rattraps until they were very sensitive. I was catching mice in the rattraps too. The bar would come down on the mouse's backside, crush it and the mouse was reared up with its tiny paws in the air and its mouth wide open with a look of surprise on its face. The last sound to come out of its mouth was an ultrasonic "****!" The rats would often drag the trap some distance before the bar across their neck strangled them. I'd put out mousetraps with peanut butter on the trigger and ant bait to get rid of ants. The ants were eating the peanut butter off the mousetraps and the mice were chewing open the plastic ant bait containers and eating the ant bait. The building is long gone now and the land is a parking lot. I liked the old building, it had a lot of room. ヽ(ヅ)ノ
