I've also developed 7 great apps in Visual Basic 6, that run just fine
in any Windows version. i.e. - Mandelbrot exploration, Julia plots,
Chaos Engine, Mortgage computations, Conway's Game of Life, Worm
Simulation and Logistic Equation.

The problem may be that you have thousands of hours developing old
apps that still do all you want. That is why so many businesses still
run XP, particularly Point Of Sale and other things where the "job"
does not change.
