Being partway there isn't enough. It like saying that because you can
drive a ford fiesta you are on your way to becoming F1 world champion.

But its not a simple matter of linear progression. One needs a certain
dedicated ruthlessness that you don't get downing bottles of Hermitage
in La Grand Place.
