You're incorrect. ORD is run by the City of Chicago, Department of
Aviation. The woman in charge is a mayoral appointee (read, political
hack) and the officers are employees of the city and are trained at the
Chicago Police Academy. Further, they do not receive the same level of
training at CPD nor are they permitted to carry firearms. The most
steadfast requirement to work that position is a very good relationship
with one of the Chicago aldermen and being a registered Democrat.
