Agree "need" is the key. Looks a bit old. 1980s maybe? The turning diameter says 250 mm. That is 9.5 inches. The picture looks like its much bigger than that. At least 12 inches or more. I wonder if this lathe is limited by where the cutter is in the mechanism. The cutter can only get so close to the bed. Or the banjo is so thick it restricts how big the wood is. It does not factor in how big a piece of wood will fit over the ways.
