Foil will not work with/in a building using FLIR.
Foil reflects heat, this is a basic law of physics. There will be no visible heat signature outside the building.
A good search warrant will demonstrate probable cause for a
search warrant using the homes electric bill. Covering windows in foil
is not probable cause for a warrant.
Neither is using a lot of electricity. I can think of two reasons to be using lots of electricity, both of which I've done. They both use computers running full blast 24/7. At one point I was using 6.5kW 24 hours a day.
As for growing, what temperature do they need? I'm guessing not much more than room temperature. So how do you tell it's not just someone who likes a warm house?
