Didn't you mean silicone?

It's either:

silicon
ˈsɪlɪk(ə)n/Submit
noun
the chemical element of atomic number 14, a non-metal with
semiconducting properties, used in making electronic circuits. Pure
silicon exists in a shiny dark grey crystalline form and as an amorphous
powder.

In short, silicon is a naturally occurring chemical element, whereas
silicone is a synthetic substance. Silicon is the 14th element on the
periodic table. It's a metalloid, meaning it has properties of both
metals and nonmetals, and is the second most abundant element in the
Earth's crust, after oxygen.20 Jun 2013

I thought everyone knew what silicone was. It's used for all sorts nowadays. One you should be familiar with is the sealant you get in tubes to go round baths etc.
