Zimmerman is not a policeman. Zimmerman has no right to enforce the law.

He was not enforcing the law. He saw a suspicious person, looking into
parked cars and he called the police. Trayvonn attacked him while the
police were responding and the police were there a minute later. If
Trayvonn had have waited a minute, the cops would have shot him.
As an aside Trayvonn was already being investigated for burglary,
illegal gun possession and vandalism by the Miami police when he was
shot. It may have been why he was in Sanford in the first place.
Maybe all of that information never made it to Scotland. The North
Miami police suppressed all of their investigations after Martin was
killed,

Yes, Treyvon was a model citizen, boy scout, top student in his class, voted most likely to succeed by his classmates, and spent his free time helping the less fortunate. He was the kind of kid fathers hope their daughters will marry. Too bad that
