The existing laminate has underlay on a solid concrete floor. The reason
for wanting new laminate is it has a few joint end gaps and the colour
is unattractive, so mainly cosmetic (to sell the house).

Why not just tell a prospective buyer you'll give them cashback to the
value of the laminate you intend buying?
