Yes, I bought a load in 1976 and sold them for a packet when I left them in 1985. Not a patch on KC shares though which went from £0.55 on launch to £17-50 just before the dotcom bubble burst in 2000.

The Dotcom was an aberation. even Cable & Wireless shares were about £16
but by 2003 they were down to 40p.

Croda shares just seem to go up and up. £2 in 1999 now £31.70.
Are you sure you bought them in 1976 ?. They don't seem to
have been listed before 1999. Was Croda spun off from a larger
household name ?.
