agree that I would suspect the charging circuit rather than the battery.


It's actually very common for batteries to die suddenly. More common than
charging circuitry to go wrong in my experience.

I've known car batteries fail totally between setting out to do some
shopping, and trying to start the car to come home again - maybe an hour
later, when the engine's still hot.
