Default Technics amp/receiver repair

Found Technics amp/receiver and took it in . Upon power up it goes
into thermal protect with speakers on or not. Even with headphones it
goes thermal. Is there a way to locate the controlling part and
eliminate it ?


If it has a power IC output stage, you could try disconnecting the + and -
supplies to the chip(s) and see if the rest of it fires up.
