Default Left channel disappear...PSB Board for Yamaha RX-V1 receiver.

If the tech quoted you for a new PC board, most likely the original is not
servable, which is sometimes normal in this generation of receiver.

The board is only available from the original manufacture, therefore there
are no other options, unless you can find a scrapped receiver of the exact
same model to take the board out of. In doing this, you are taking the
chance that the used board will also have problems.

There are only three options he

1.) Get a quote from another service outfit, to see if they may be able to
fix the board, or change it for a few dollars less.
2.) Go ahead with the repairs with the present service outfit, if you plan
on keeping your receiver.
3.) Pay the cost of the estimate, scrap the receiver, and buy a new one.

Dear All!
The left channel disappear from time to time on my Yamaha RX-V1 receiver.
The technician from Yam. Serv. Center looked at it and said I need to change
PSB Board. The repair cost will be $220 US.
Is it looks like true? Is it any way to get it cheaper? I am in NYC
suburb.
Thank you for help and answer.
