Default UPDATE: Magnavox TV/VCR CCT132ATO1 (Symphonic TVCR13E1)

Hi,
Update: For those of you who insist that the mech. may be the
cause, I replaced the VCR assembly with another one just like it, but that
did not change anything. Since I don't have SM, I do not know how to
disable shut down.

I also have in my shop, a Symphonic TV/VCR # 13TVCR with a bad yoke,
DSE-1422UL (on yoke). This Magnavox TV/VCR has a DSE-1422JL. I was
wondering if I could use this yoke in the other unit?

Thanks in advance, Brad

Before you type your password, credit card number, etc., be sure there is
no active key logger (spyware) in your PC.

I replaced C604 & C626 both 33uf 10V (low cap). B+ reads 117V (power
off), then at power up, drops to +112V (normal) for about one second, and TV
shuts down. Note: HV measured around 22.5KV when set turned on, but not long
enough for screen to light up (shuts down). I don't have SM for this set.
Either a problem exists in the safety shutdown circuit, or there is an outside
"trigger". Note: There is vertical and horizontal deflection activity. VCR mech.
is not the cause because VCR wasn't used when problem started.
Can you tell me how to disable the shut down in order for me to make more tests?
