The UK has definitely got a problem with young people in gangs carrying
and using knives in those areas.

Away from the big cities it is not an issue, ie; most of the country
doesn't have this problem and feel completely safe without any weapons

You have pretty much described the situation here too.
Outside of the big cities that are run by Democrats
who have instituted gun free zones (it is a hypocritical
way of "saying" you are doing something about crime
without "actually" doing anything), there is very
little crime.

And in places where guns are in abundance, there is
even less crime.

There's a difference between banning guns in a few places, and in the whole country. The former makes it far too easy to sneak them in.

You will also note that the hypocrites only go after
insurrection weapons and not weapons of crime.

We aren't that neanderthal. Military service is optional and rarely done.
