Default FIXED: Sony CPD-520GS compass module

Recall that customer spilled stuff in that monitor and corroded one
pin on that compass module's IC. It's fixed!

Took me awhile to remove IC, prepare & clean up mess boards & IC, put
IC back on and grind away bit of package to get at the copper for that
missing leg. Jumped the now exposed copper to the original pad with
one strand of fine wire. That how fine.

Worked great and my suspicion of that module function was correct and
monitor needs it for convergence & purity to function. It is
automatic and compeanses for the rotation (turn like west to east) of
monitor to one way or other. That's COOL and really beauiful picture.

The L2 board is convergence & purity ampifiers plus compass is on
small retangular board clipped via four plastic standoffs to the
bottom of the monitor's metal chassis with board's long axis west &
east. In middle of that L2 board just exactly where base pivot point
is where compass module board (almost 1"x1.5") stood off the board via
pins soldered to the L2 board.

Cheers,

Wizard
