BTW Unc , good to see you back online !

Thanks, I was in the hospital for 9 days fighting a nasty infection and I'm on IV antibiotics again. This time an orthopedic surgeon went into my knee with a scope, drained a lot of puss out of it then washed it out with 9 liters of a medicated solution. I can put some weight on my leg again but I won't be break dancing until I get new knees and shoulders. I'm too fraking ornery to die. o_O

wow! Glad you're doing OK Monster!

Thanks Muggs! I'm too ornery to be kept down for very long. ^_^

yw, Monster. I'm glad you're still kickin'... or rollin' rollin'
rollin' ... haha

Since the orthopedic surgeon put a scope and probe in my knee and rinsed the cooties out of it, I can stand up much more easily. I'm going to ask the staff if they'll let me use a walker since I have a yellow arm band that has,"FALL RISK" printed on it. o_O

gee ... why didn't he fix that knee while he was in there??

I need both knees replaced and I've had venous stasis in both legs which has led orthopedic surgeons to believe I could lose my legs if I got the surgery. The surgeon who worked on my knee last month couldn't do much more than wash it out because I'm still fighting an infection. The nurse was just here to disconnect my IV from my PICC line. Today, I got two small bags and one large bags of IV antibiotics. I get the large IV bag every other day. The orthopedic surgeon and an infectious disease specialist are working together to rid me of the infection that got into my knee through my infected venous stasis ulcer that rings my lower leg. Back in 2014 the infection put me in the hospital for 16 days, 9 of which were in the ICU. From the hospital, I was sent to a nursing home for a 21 day course of IV antibiotics. I had 37 days of IV antibiotics in 2014. So far this year, I've been on them for 18 days and I'll find out next week for how long when I see the infectious disease specialist. Infections are a lot of fun. o_O

man ... I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of that, Monster. I
sure hope they can kill that infection and you can get new knees.
