Borisbuses were just an ego trip for Boris at public expense. They
were specific to fulfilling the contract with TfL and are unlikely to
be bought for use elsewhere in the UK.

Most trains are UK specific (at significant cost) due to the loading
gauge but increasingly are part of a family of designs which share
common design features.
