I bought dozens of them in just two colors.

I disposed of all my socks and then purchased
3 dozen black pairs in the same design/size.

I then just picked sockets to wear at random from a basket.

Unfortunately after around a year its hard to find a pair that match.
The number of times they have been worn, washed and the amount
of time they have spent on the washing line in the sun, rain and frost
have altered there appearance so now I have 72 odd socks.

every plan backfires.

Mine hasn't.
