Well I've a friend from stoke on trent that works on a building site and he says the majority of the workers are polish, they are OK but converstion is difficult, but I thought we were talking about syrians not the Polish.

I don't think the Polish are seeking asylum do you ?
Building site won't employ local workers as there no such thing.
there's a building site behind my window too, I can here them talking/shouting not sure what langauge it is.

perhaps you need to get out more.
