Default Sony KV-27FS13 video blacks out

This is most likely a scan or high voltage failure, and the set is going in
to protect. You would have to be able to determine the scan that failed,
and troubleshoot from there. The cause may be a thermo sensitive part, or
maybe even a cold solder connection.

You will have to give the set out for a proper estimate, if you are not
properly trained and set up for TV servicing. These types of problems can
even be a challenge for the experienced TV service tech.

I have a 27" sony that occasionally blacks out the picture for a second or
so. Sound is OK during the blackout.

There is a little light on the front that is flashing a code of some kind,
so I'm assuming its an error code of some kind. The code is 4 short flashes,
followed by a long 4 second flash, then it repeats.

Anybody know what the error code means?

Thanks
