Hi Folks,

Eldest daughter has managed to get superglue all over one lense of
her glasses. (Whilst wearing them, tidying up , at least it's not
in her eye)

Some came off fairly easily with IPA, but still plenty on there,
and tips for cleaning it off. At the moment they are soaking in
some warm soapy water to hopefully soften the glue.

Only things that work are acetone and nitromethane and if its plastic
lenses chances are both will dissolve those, too.

Neither are easy to come by. Acetone (not MEK/dellulose thinners) is
usually available f6omn specialist glass fibre suppliers.

Commercial superglue debonders have that and a nitromethane gel in them

Snip
'nail varnish remover' from the chemists shop is usually acetone with a
bit of castor oil added
nitromethane may be available from firms who sell model aircraft fuel
