Neither are easy to come by. Acetone (not MEK/dellulose thinners) is
usually available f6omn specialist glass fibre suppliers.

Last time I needed some acetone I just bought nail varnish remover
from Superdrug. May not be 100% pure but it dissolved whatever it
was I wanted gone.

But I agree it could well dissolve the lenses too.

Ah yes acetone is available as nail varnish remover at the same price
for 10cc that I pay for a litre..

Your metric was "easy to come by" and I felt that for anyone dealing
with superglue a bottle of nail varnish remover would do.

But JOOI, Superdrug sold me 50ml for 79p; so where please do you get a
litre of acetone for 16p? Or even for 79p?
