This set just went dead
As if it weren't even plugged in
My daughter said she may have heard a pop when it died
It is probably 10 years old
Is it worth it to take it to a repair shop?
Or do people just pitch stuff like this?
Just curious what this knowledgable crowd would think
The pop could of been something as simple and cheap as a
internal fuse. There should be a fuse not to far away from where
the line cord goes to the TV's power supply. It costs nothing to
look. A fuse can blow for any number of reasons. Sometimes
a replaced fuse will not blow again for years.
Just be careful to not touch anything that you are not familiar with.
If there was an audible pop when it died, I doubt it's just a fuse. Have
it checked out by a professional.
