Buying a caul seems pretty silly for a woodworker.
You do realize that woodworkers were quite successful without
pipe clamps, fancy K-bodies or any manufactured clamp?
Consider what you can do with a couple of wedges and a caul,
for example.
The caul should be slightly sprung.
