Default How "loose" can a butane torch flame get?

Added the extension hose cheap from Home Depot. That should do for my
limited purpose (killing a few weeds). Assuming it works As Seen on
YouTube.

I ordered a "BernzoMatic JT680 Jumbo Flame Torch Head".
Maybe that will get me started.

I don't know the terminology...

Some gardeners use a "flamer" for killing weeds. Looks like the little
ones have a concentrated flame (tight) but the bigger models (like
400,000 BTU) are more like a flamethrower where the flame is poorly
controlled and covers a wider area.

How "loose" can a standard butane torch get, like the torch in the
link above?

Can a butane torch be held facing downwards, at least 45° to the
ground?

Thanks.
