If you want old-school quality in a washing machine go with Speed Queen.

But I what I REALLY miss the most is good bakery items.
There's just no substitute for the Swedish and German bakeries
that used to be all over the place in the Chicago area.
Dunkin Donuts played a hand in their demise.

Those and supermarkets that have their own bakeries inside have meant the
end of a lot of independent bakeries.
