It is law in Florida. If they are on an evacuation route, they need
backup power.

Before price gouging laws, people could charge
the fair market value for products. Gasoline
right after a hurricane? Value goes up, price
goes up. They passed the price gouging law, so
there is no incentive to install a generator.
Why drop many thousands of dollars to make a few
pennies?

And, what's the government answer? Pass more laws
to require people to do what they don't get paid
to do. Your government in action.
