A lot of the toilet bowl cleaners are hydrochloric acid. Same stuff.
Same stuff as is in your stomach, come to think of it.

Phosphoric acid will work too and is less aggressive. Coca-Cola's
rumored ability to remove rust is probably from the phosphoric acid in
it. It's a very low concentration but there have been some studies
linking it to osteoporosis.


I gave up drinking pop some years ago, but on a rare day I might have me
a dr. pepper. Last bone density test I had my bones were in the way
above average for being healthy, so I guess laying off the pop helps.
