What kinda snake is that? I have a snake living under my front
porch and it scares the wife. It (the snake) is about 4 ft long
and black with yellow stripes along its body with a pointed
head. I don`t think it`s poisonous but I would like to know what
kind of snake is it and how do

Garter snake would be likely...especially in Pennsylvania. I've seen them near that size in the Mid-West.

a 4 ft long garter snake?
wow

Common Garter snake ranges from 22 to 54 inches.

I don't think I've seen one longer than a foot...

I have plenty of times.

my guess is that if it's 4ft long it's finding plenty to eat...
and what it's eating...I'm sure your wife would like even less.

That's why you leave them alone, they get rid of other nasties
and are otherwise harmless.
