If your spell checker is set to English, then "practising" (verb),
"practice" (noun), "licensing" (verb), and "licence" (noun) should be
deemed correct.
The spell checker has 17 different flavors of English. US English flags
'practising' ('practicing') and 'licence' ('license'). Looks to me
like Canadian English can't keep its c's and s's straight. 'Defence'
('defense') is another one, although 'defensing' is an uncommon
construction. I have done some 'defencing' but that's when you pull
down the old barbed wire you find out in the woods from some long gone
ranching operation.
