Just as I thought! The Bill of Rights is Communist! The Fifth
Amendment says the federal government can seize your property for
public use.

Isn't the difference in your wordings what the Kelo decision was
about? It changed the justification for seizure from something
like a road or lake to giving ground a different owner who would
supposedly provide a larger tax base.

Yeah, that was the municipal government I think, which is not limited by
the Bill of Rights. It's been going on at least as far back as 1832. I
read of a case where Washington DC took a lot of run-down land for
privately owned condos. The seizure included well-kept property. The
court ruled in favor of Washington, which I think is part of the federal
government.

It's controversial, to say the least, but it's not something new that
liberals thought up.
